Pymatuning Deer Park, Jamestown, Pennsylvania

Today we visited Pymatuning Deer Park, which was established in 1953.
Here's a sampling of the many animals you will encounter on a visit.

"Why do they like to feel my antlers?"
"Look...but don't touch. We bite."
"What the heck is that thing behind me?!"
"I just drank some green Kool-aid."
"I'm gonna peck you!"

"I'll eat you for lunch."

"I won't spit on you since your feeding me."

"I like meat."
"I like meat too."
"I'm ready to hibernate."

"Look at the ants...look at the ants..."

"Slow it down there..."
"Relax..."
"I need a haircut."
"You smell like ham."
"The heat is killing me."
"I love chewing tobacco."
"It's a long way down. Hope this guy doesn't drop me."
"Ooo...look...people..."
"I'm lucky because I have shade."
"I can't wait to transform into some flying critter so I can get the heck out of here."
Most will agree Pymatuning Deer Park is well worth the $6.50 admission price.

The Spillway at Pymatuning State Park

A short drive from Pymatuning Valley Resort, you will find The Spillway at Pymatuning State Park located near the Ohio/Pennsylvania border.

This fee-free area features The Spillway "where the ducks walk on the fishes backs." Here are the ducks.

Here are the fishes.

Here is a volunteer fish and duck feeder. He has purchased this bag of bagels and other bags of NAME BRAND bread from the concessionaire at the spillway. The concessionaire sells day old bread two loaves for one dollar. The bags this volunteer purchased still had 2 days before the "sell by" date. Lucky ducks! and fish!
The volunteer feeds the wildlife.
This group brought their own bread...lots of it.
When you're in Ohio or Pennsylvania, always watch out for horses and buggies.
Watch the ducks and fish at The Spillway below.

Pymatuning Valley Resort, Williamsfield, Ohio

After saying goodbye to Mike and Lisa, we headed to another Coast to Coast Resort, Pymatuning Valley Resort in Williamsfield, Ohio.

The indoor pool was busier than the outdoor pool today because it rained quite a bit today, as it would most of our stay here.

If you like shuffleboard or playgrounds, this is the place for you.

There are also park models and cabins for rent if you don't bring your recreational vehicle.

On a hot summer day the water park located at the entrance to the resort will cool you off with a splash.
